Michael has been at the forefront of the robotics industry for over twenty years. His career began at Carnegie Mellon University where he developed planetary rovers for NASA and conducted expeditions to far flung field sites such as Antarctica, the Canadian Arctic, and the Atacama Desert of Chile. It was during this period that he was first introduced to PNME, whose artistry often evoked memories from those otherworldly experiences. Today Michael runs Edge Case Research, a Pittsburgh- and Munich-based technology startup that helps the automotive industry build safer self driving cars.
